By becoming a member of the Buffalo Maritime Center you are helping to advance our important educational mission of sustaining and reviving hand skills, craftsmanship, and preserving maritime history.

You will also have the opportunity to  . . .

• gain an appreciation of wooden boats by joining in on any of our restoration and major boat-building projects like the replica of Gov. DeWitt Clinton’s 1825 Erie Canal Packet Boat to built down at Canalside!
• build in our shop (after participating in a Safety Orientation)
• share in the important responsibility of becoming a mentor in our Hand to Hand educational program
• make use of our archives and historical collection
• join our on-water activities such as tours of the harbor and sailing on our historic sailboats
• hear about upcoming workshops as well as receive our quarterly newsletter

MEMBERSHIP

BMC membership is on a “pay what you can” basis. By donating monthly or yearly, you ensure that your support continues.

Tiers of support are:

1. Seaman: $5/monthly or $60/yearly
2. Bosun: $10/monthly or $120/yearly
3. Mate: $15/monthly or $180/yearly
4. Captain: $20/monthly or $240/yearly
5. Commodore: $50/monthly or $600/yearly
6. Admiral: $100/monthly or $1200/yearly

MEMBERSHIPS AT $10/MONTH AND ABOVE RECEIVE A FREE BMC T-SHIRT (come see us at the shop)

*An optional $20 includes membership in the BMC chapter of the Traditional Small Craft Association (TSCA), a national organization advocating for small craft activities. TSCA membership includes a subscription to the quarterly Ash Breeze.
