United Way Donor Choice Program

Are you making your annual United Way Campaign Pledge through payroll deduction this year? Did you know that you can designate all or a portion of your gift to the Buffalo Maritime Center through the United Way Donor Choice program? Just write Buffalo Maritime Center, code # 5681 and the amount on your pledge card.

Shop Space Available

Do you have a wooden boat that needs repair? Are you thinking of building your own wooden canoe or kayak but lack the shop space? BMC has space available. A monthly fee includes space to work on your boat, access during regular shop hours, use of shop tools and free expert advice. Call Roger Allen at 544-5658, or email roger.allen@buffalomaritimecenter.org for more information.

Volunteer Help Needed

The Buffalo Maritime Center needs volunteers to help with our expanding programs. Help is needed in a variety of areas including boat building projects, mentoring, building renovation and maintenance, office clerical and bookkeeping, help with special events, collection management, and fundraising. Call the shop at 881-0111 if you are interested in participating.

Fund Raising Help Needed

The Maritime Center is looking for a few good folks to help with fundraising. This is probably the most important job that needs to be done for BMC. We need some more dollars to finish work on the building and to pay for staff. While it is our objective to generate income from our own line of bronze hardware, boatbuilding and restoration, classes, and an online gift shop, we will need to do some fundraising to support our operating and renovation costs until those revenue streams are developed.
